A busy life came to a close December 22, 1974, when Albert Joseph Hopkins was called to his heavenly home.
He was born July 15, 1925, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He came to Cleveland as a child. He was the father of three children, two of whom preceded him in death. He was very industrious; he was a printer by trade and his work stood out for itself in such a way that he often had more calls than he could fill.
Mr. Hopkins was highly respected by the people for whom he worked. He was a good neighbor and a law-abiding citizen, a man who will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived.
He made peace with God a long time ago and had a deed to that heavenly home where he can live on and on.
Albert leaves to mourn his passing, one son Don; grandson Terry Don and daughter in law Bernice; sister Ethel and brother-in-law Richard Robinson; a great aunt Mrs. Katie Gilbert; two uncles William A. Hopkins and Walter Morris; two aunts Mrs. Georgia Gilliam and Mrs. Ruth Hopkins; two nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; a number of cousins and other relatives and friends.
We pray that God will bring us all to that perfect light to that city of the living, to the vision of God and to the welcoming face of Christ.
